Welcome to Eggar’s PTA Website
Eggar’s School PTA has two broad aims: to support the school by fundraising for items that enhance the learning experience of ALL students AND to promote relationships between parents, staff, governors and the wider community. Our recent Head’s Quiz Night was a huge success. Many thanks to all who attended or helped out at this fantastic evening.
Parents and carers of Eggar’s pupils are automatically members of the PTA & everyone is very welcome to help out whenever they are able. We hold meetings in the school library every 4-6 weeks and are always keen to embrace new members and fresh ideas!
The next PTA meeting is Wednesday 27th September at 6.30pm in the LRC (library).
Please see the “Welcome to Eggar’s PTA” page on this website for more information and follow Eggar’s PTA on twitter and Facebook for important day to day updates and information.
Empty Printer Cartridges Requested
Eggar’s PTA are working with ‘Empties Please’, a company that collect and recycle used ink and toner cartridges in an environmentally and friendly way to raise money for school funds. Students will be bringing home an ‘Empties Please’ recycling bag. There is a collection bin in the reception area for your empties. You can collect ink cartridges from absolutely anywhere i.e. work, home, clubs, friends and family.
To view which empty ink cartridges we can recycle, please see the website, www.emptiesplease.com
If you are able to display a collection bin in your workplace on behalf of Eggar’s, please contact ‘Empties Please’ on 0844 879 7179 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please ensure you provide Eggar’s name so proceeds are credited to us.
Extra bags are available, but you can fit quite a few cartridges into one bag. Please do not put them in the post as they must be returned to us in a recycling bag. The more cartridges we can collect the more we can raise. The sky’s the limit! Let’s make it a great success. Happy collecting!
The Eggar’s PTA Officers for 2017-2018 are:
Patrick Sullivan (Head & Hon. President); Samantha Warfield (Hon. Chair); Rachael Lowry (Hon. Secretary); Melanie Tynan (Hon Treasurer); Sarah McKenzie (Hon. Procurement Officer) and Wendy Becker Davies (Hon. Communications officer).
The Sumo wrestling gear, wildly popular at school events, is now available to hire from Eggar’s PTA!
The hire cost for a weekend (Friday pm to Monday am) is only £50! The kit comprises two adult suits, two child suits (with protective head guards, cunningly disguised as top knots!) plus a wrestling mat.
Please click on the links below for full instructions, conditions of hire and important advice on the safe use of the suits.
Please note: terms and conditions apply. All users will be required to sign a waiver form prior to rental of the equipment and a damage insurance deposit may be required.
